The D3 Florida Gulf Coast University hockey team will begin its season with a home
opener at Germain Arena against the South Carolina Gamecocks at 8:30 p.m. Friday,
Oct. 3. Coming off of an impressive 19-6 season last year, the Eagles hope to
continue in the same direction. The Gamecocks have already been playing for about
a month and hope to capitalize on the nervousness that may come with the Eagles’
first game of the season...

The Florida Gulf Coast University D3 hockey team gears up to take on the University
of Tampa at 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 10 at the Ice Sports Forum in Brandon. The
Spartans come to Germain Arena for game two of the series at 9 p.m. Saturday, Oct
11. Tickets are $5 at the door, but are free with your Eagle ID.The Spartans come
with a previous 3-3-1 record, notching a win over the Gamecocks with a score of 7-5.

Eagles Send Spartans Home Empty-Handed

The Florida Gulf Coast University D3 hockey team set out to take on the Florida
Atlantic University Owls at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 at the IceDen in Coral Springs. At
6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18, The Owls travel to Germain Arena for the second game of
the two-game series. Tickets are $5 at the door but are free with your Eagle ID. The
Owls come with a losing record of 0-5-0, having lost in their matchups against the
University of Miami, the University of Central Florida...

Eagles Need Your Help to Raise Money!

Student Government put the club hockey team on ice at Tuesday night’s senate
meeting. The bill was indefinitely tabled, leaving the team without SG funding. The bill
encompassed ice time at Germain Arena for the Division 2 and Division 3 teams.
Originally, the bill was for $69,374; however, sponsor CJ Duffie plans to amend it
down to $50,000. SG members have cited finance code violations for the tabling of
the bill. Senators said that the organization’s tryout fees...

College at 8:15 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31 at the Palm Beach Ice Works, before returning
home to host the Panthers at 6 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1 at Germain Arena. Tickets are
$5 at the door, but free with an Eagle ID. The team took on the University of Central
Florida on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 24 and 25 at the RDV Sportsplex in Orlando.

The Florida Gulf Coast University D3 hockey team gears up to host the West Mall
Lightning at 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7 at Germain Arena. Game two of the series is at 1 p.
m. Saturday, Nov. 8. Tickets are $5 at the door, but free with your EagleID. West Mall
is a U21 “AAA” hockey team from the Canadian Greater Toronto Hockey League.

The FGCU D3 hockey team travels to Rockledge, Florida, this week, for a
three-game, weekend tournament. At 9:30 p.m.  Friday, Nov. 21, the Eagles take on
the Oakland Golden Grizzlies. The weekend tournament continues at 7:45 p.m.  
Saturday, Nov. 22 when FGCU will face the Ole Miss Rebels. Sunday morning, the
Eagles will conclude the weekend tournament at 9:45 a.m. with a matchup against the
Alabama
