| 2008-2009 Schedule Released Eagles Take On The Biggest and Best in the South! September 26, 2008 Aa the FGCU Hockey Programs prepares for its second season hosting two teams, the Division 3 team staff have put together a challenging schedule for the 2008-2009 Season. The new schedule will give the team every opportunity to qualify for post-season play, complete with 29 regular season games, 16 home games, and out of state trips to Midland, Michigan to participate in the Seth Schupan Earlybird Memorial Tournament hosted by Northwood University and to Knoxville, Tennessee to take on one of the best in the Southern region. click here for full story |

Tryout Schedule & Mandatory Meeting Reminder August 15, 2008 After a long summer, Florida Gulf Coast University will resume classes for the Fall 2008 semester on August 25, 2008. Many prospective players will be moving the Southwest Florida area and are now ready to focus on FGCU Hockey. The anticipation to get on the ice can be felt all over the campus and it is now time to get the 2008-2009 Season on its way. | Team Meeting Officially Launches 08-09 Season Prospective Players Divided Into Teams For Tryouts August 24, 2008 At 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 21, 2008, the off-season officially ended. As prospective players and returning players gathered together for the annual team meeting, team staff welcomed everyone to the 2008-2009 Season. The meeting was highlighted with an appearance from Head Coach Josh Onyschuk, who introduced prospective players to the FGCU Hockey experience. | Largest Tryouts Turnout In Program History Over 70 hopefuls hosted during the Fall 2008 Tryout Session September 12, 2008 The FGCU Hockey program has improved every year in their existence and it appears that trend will continue in the 2008-2009 season. With more prospects to evaluate than in any previous year, the FGCU Hockey Coaching Staff was left with many difficult decisions. After completing five days of evaluation, the coaches appeared confident with the rosters that they had compiled. Division 2 Head Coach Bob Brinkworth commented, "With this kind of talent, both the Division 2 and Division 3 teams should compete for National Championships." click here for full story |

| Fall 2009 Tryout Dates Announced Interested Players Must Submit Tryout Applications & Tryout Fees June 7, 2009 All players interested in trying out for the FGCU Hockey Team next season must complete a tryout application. The 2009-2010 FGCU Hockey tryouts will take place from August 31, 2009 - September 4, 2009 at Germain Arena. There will also be a mandatory meeting for all interested players on Saturday, August 29, 2009 in the Student Union Ballroom at 6:00 PM on the Florida Gulf Coast University campus.
