FGCU Hockey Adds Division 3 Team to the Program

Over the past five years, the FGCU Hockey Team has experienced tremendous growth. Since our inaugural season in 2002, the team has provided an opportunity for over one hundred players to compete at the college hockey level. In our short five year history, the program has earned four National Championship Tournament berths and hosted an ACHA National Championship. With the increased national attention and after one of the most successful years in FGCU Hockey history in 06-07, players from all over the country are flocking to Southwest Florida to attend Florida Gulf Coast University with hopes of representing the school in the sport of hockey. In order to satisfy the high demand to play hockey as FGCU, the Board of Directors is pleased to announce the birth of a brand new Division 3 team. The new team will provide an opportunity for more students-athletes at FGCU to compete on behalf of the university. |
