After a historic inaugural season that included a trip to nationals and a #14 ranking nationally, the Division 3 team hopes to build on their early successes. With a solid group of veterans and an influx of new talent, the Division 3 team appears to have a great opportunity to do just that. Division 3 Head Coach Josh Onyschuk is very confident with his team and feels that his team is significantly better than last year. Coach Onyschuk stated, "Last season we didn't know what to expect from our competition and it showed at Nationals, this season we have a more talented group and we will be prepared for everything that we face."
Fans will get the opportunity to catch a glimpse of both teams when they play host to the Space Coast Jr. Hurricanes for three Preseason games. The Division 2 team will play two games with Space Coast on Friday, September 12 and Saturday, September 13 at 8:30 PM while the Division 3 team will get their shot at the Hurricanes on Sunday, September 14 at 11:15 AM.
Prior to the Friday, September 12 game, fans will have the opportunity to meet new and returning players at Bar Louie in the Gulf Coast Town Center from 5-7 PM. Bar Louie is offering ½ price appetizers and 10% off all food purchases to all FGCU Hockey fans from 5-8 PM.l be working hard over the next four weeks to prepare for their second season as a Division II Team.
