Eagles Take On The Biggest and Best in the South!

Aa the FGCU Hockey Programs prepares for its second season hosting two teams, the Division 3 team staff have put together a challenging schedule for the 2008-2009 Season. The new schedule will give the team every opportunity to qualify for post-season play, complete with 29 regular season games, 16 home games, and out of state trips to Midland, Michigan to participate in the Seth Schupan Earlybird Memorial Tournament hosted by Northwood University and to Knoxville, Tennessee to take on one of the best in the Southern region. The FGCU Hockey Team will have their work cut out for them this season as they are set to take on perennial powerhouses such as the University of Tennessee, Central Florida University, Northwood Timberwolves, as well as two opportunities to take on Division 2 opponents in Ohio State University and the University of Illinois. As the team is coming off an apperance in the 2008 ACHA Division 3 National Championship Tournament, they will look to improve on their impressive inaugural season.
