Nick grew up in Port Richey, Florida. He moved to southwest Florida in 1999 to attend Florida Gulf Coast University. In 2002, Nick helped found the FGCU Ice Hockey Program and became the organization’s first team president. He played 2 seasons with the Eagles and is credited for scoring the first goal in team history. The American Collegiate Hockey Association's D3 National Championships in Scottsdale, Arizona would be Wichmanowski's last games as a player for FGCU. After graduating in 2004, Nick remained close with the organization and returned to coach the DIII team for both the 2007-08 and 2008-09 seasons. After a two year hiatus, Nick returned once again for the 2011-2012 season with high hopes of leading a new crop of players to the National Championship. Nick currently resides in Fort Myers with his lovely girlfriend, Amanda and their son, Gizmo. Nick is also a succesful commercial advisor at Gulfshore Insurance and will forever be a part of the FGCU Hockey story.
A native of Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada, Joshua Onyschuk grew up playing minor hockey for the Smith Falls Bears. After playing minor hockey, Josh moved on to play two seasons of junior hockey with the Perth Blue Wings of the Easton Ontario Junior "B" Hockey League followed by a season with the Smiths Falls Bears Junior "A" Team, which competed in the Central Junior Hockey League in Canada. Onyschuk, with a strong junior hockey resume moved on to play college hockey for the Humber College Hawks. While with Humber College, Josh captured the 2004 Ontario College Athletic Association's Men’s Hockey Championship. After graduating from Humber College, Josh relocated to Southwest Florida. He is the Membership Sales Director at Naples National Golf Club. Onyschuk's coaching resume is highlighted by a two year stint with the FGCU Division 3 team from 2007-2009, including leading the team to a runner-up finish at the 2009 Division 3 National Championships. Josh is supported by his loving wife Christee Onyschuk.
