Webster Academy Becomes New Affiliate
FGCU Hockey is proud to welcome Webster Academy to the program!

It is with great pleasure that the FGCU Hockey Team welcomes the Webster Academy Royals as a new affiliate. Webster Academy is based out of Pointe-Claire, Quebec, Canada and has grown to become one of the country's premier training programs for aspiring hockey players. The Academy houses five teams including a Junior Developmental Team which competes in Junior leagues both in Canada and the United States. Team President Matt Maida commented on the new affiliation by saying, "Webster Academy is a first class program, which will undoubtedly provide more exposure for FGCU Hockey to Canadian athletes looking to play quality college hockey." With the new affiliation, Webster Academy will travel to Florida annually to play a weekend series against the FGCU Eagles Hockey Team. The games will provide the coaching staff to get a first hand look at the Royals and will give the Webster Academy players an opportunity to explore Florida Gulf Coast University. |
