FGCU Outscored Robert Morris 21-4 during the weekend series!
December 10, 2006
After a solid weekend sweep over the University of Colorado Buffaloes last weekend, the FGCU Eagles Hockey Team continued to roll this weekend completely dominating the Robert Morris University Eagles from Springfield, Illinois. The first game ended with a score of 9-2 in favor of the FGCU Eagles. FGCU had the scoring spreadout as seven different Eagles buried goals including the following: Justin Moore (2), Allan Penney (2), Alex Flax (1), Matt Maida (1), Zach Messer (1), Kevin Olsen (1), and Nic Williams (1). On Saturday night, Robert Morris came out completely flat and allowed FGCU to score nine first period goals, which is now the highest scoring period on the season for the Eagles. The game ended with a score of 12-2 for FGCU as the hometown Eagles completely dominated Robert Morris. Goals in the second game were earned by: Allan Penney (4), Brett Galbraith (2), Justin Moore (1), Mike Sellitto (1), Mike Marrero (1), Kevin Olsen (1), Jim Easton (1), and Peter Flores (1).

As FGCU prepares to enjoy the break, we would like to wish all of you the very best during the upcoming holiday season. The Eagles will return to action in the new year as they host the Grand Valley State University Lakers from Grand Rapids, Michigan who are currently ranked #3 in the Central region of the ACHA rankings. We look forward to seeing all our fans in 2007!
