| 2006 Nationals A Huge Success FGCU Earns High Praises for Hosting in 06 March 14, 2006 After over a year and a half of planning, the FGCU Hockey program successfully hosted the 2006 ACHA Division III National Championships from March 1-4, 2006. Hockey fans from all over the country converged to Germain Arena located right here in Fort Myers , Florida . All tournament participants were greeted with great weather, and a hospitable tournament committee which made their stay and experience an enjoyable one. FGCU Hockey would like to congratulate all the teams for putting on such a great show and especially honor the 2006 National Champions - Wright State University Raiders (Dayton, Ohio). |
| The entire American Collegiate Hockey Association along with the FGCU Hockey program would like to extend our sincerest thanks to all the tournament volunteers and sponsors. Special thanks to the following individuals who made this year's tournament an extraordinary success: Craig Rademacher (Team Founder), Richard Snizek (General Manager), Kate Wyatt (Director of Volunteers), and Tom Vanderlaan (ACHA DIII Commissioner).
