| 2009 ACHA Division II National Championships Full Tournament Coverage! Live Videocasts and Up-to-the-minute Scores March 15, 2009 The FGCU Hockey Team will be travelling to Grand Rapids, Michigan to participate in the 2009 ACHA Division II National Championships. This year marks the third time that Florida Gulf Coast University has competed in a Division II National Championship in the sport of hockey. After a season which saw the Ice Eagles earn a record of 34-3-0-0 (W-L-T-OTL), FGCU looks to establish themselves as a nationally ranked program at this year's tournament. With the top sixteen teams from Division 2 hockey in attendance, the competition will be intense. Don't miss any of the action as you can watch all the games live and the ACHA's broadcast crew will also call the action. It should be an exciting week of hockey as the Eagles attempt to capture Florida Gulf Coast University's first ever national championship. The Eagles will open up the tournament against an emerging power in the western region, as the Eagles clash with the Northern Colorado Bears on Tuesday, March 17 at 1:00 PM (EST). |
