Sienna's David DelSonno scored the first goal on a power play at 12:07. The Eagles answered back at 10:50 with the first of Justin Moore's three goals. Undaunted by the chain of events that led to that goal, the Eagles sealed the deal with a game winning goal by Maida at 7:11. FGCU skated by in a close one, 4-3. Kobrin had 27 saves on 30 shots and New Hampshire's Joe Bramante had 40 saves on 44 shots. Saturday night was host to a rout of the Northeast Region's second ranked Central Connecticut State University. Lendino scored the game's first goal at 19:41 and the Eagles never looked back. Maida scored twice in the period at 6:20 and 5:03. The Eagles ended the period with a commanding 4-0 lead after a goal by Evan Crawford at 2:30. A change in goaltenders proved ineffective as FGCU's Nic Williams scored at 17:45. Central Connecticut showed their only spark of hope with a goal by Rob Diclemente at 4:28. Crawford scored again at 3:12 and Justin Aquino found the net at 2:35. Quality defense ruled the ice on both sides during the third period as no penalties were called and the only point came off a hat trick goal by Maida with 37 seconds left. FGCU's Nick Fernandez had 18 saves on 19 shots and the Central Connecticut goalie duo had 30 saves on 38 shots. The final score was 8-1. FGCU ended the weekend on a high note with a victory over the Southeast Region's third ranked Wagner. They added fuel to the fire with goals by Maida and Nic Williams at 7:59 and 7:09 respectively. Jamie Gardner pulled Wagner within one after a goal at 4:19. Justin Moore capped the Eagles victory with a goal at 19 seconds. The final score was 4-2.
