ACHA Regional Rankings Released
FGCU Hockey Team Ranked 3rd in the Southeast Region!

The Eagles have been officially welcomed to Division 2 college hockey in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. Last week, the league which governs over 150 Division 2 college hockey teams released their first set of regional rankings for the 2006-2007 season. The FGCU Hockey Team finds itself ranked as the third best team in the Southeast Region. As a first year team, the Eagles are extremely honored to be given such a distinction so early in the season and look to improve their record and ranking in the days to come. Perennial powerhouses University of Miami of Ohio Redhawks and Wagner Seahawks are ranked first and second respectively. The top four teams in the region qualify for the National Championships which will be held in Fort Collins, Colorado in early March 2007.
