FGCU Eagles Will Host Record Number of Home Games

After finishing ranked second in the nation last season (the most successful season in FGCU Hockey history), the Eagles Hockey Team has followed up in 09-10 with one of the best home ice schedules in the program's history. This year's schedule will be challenging as usual and will feature the most impressive list of teams to travel to Fort Myers, Florida to take on the FGCU Eagles in the university's history, including Ferris State University, University of Connecticut, Boston University, University of Colorado, and the defending national champions Davenport University Panthers. Complete with 37 regular season games, 31 home games, and two out of state trips including a four game weekend in Albany, New York; the FGCU Hockey Team will have their work cut out for them this season.
In addition to an impressive home schedule, the FGCU Hockey team will also travel around the country to take on perennial powerhouses such as Kennesaw State University, Boston College, Siena College and Northern Colorado University. Florida Gulf Coast University will also host the 2010 Gulf Coast Clash in Southwest Florida which will feature the Siena Saints, Davenport Panthers, and Colorado Buffaloes from January 15-17, 2010. FGCU Hockey will host some of the biggest college teams in the country at home this season including: Grand Valley State University Lakers, Davenport University Panthers, University of Connecticut Huskies, Boston University Terriers, and the University of Colorado Buffaloes among others. Go Eagles!
