| Become Part of the FGCU Hockey Team In 2007-2008 Open tryouts are offered twice per year for any interested player. Players must wear full protective equipment. All players must pay a team travel fee to defer team costs. Your individual fee payment goes toward team travel costs and practice ice rental. FGCU Hockey travels by charter bus to all in state game and flies via airplane to all out of state games. Payment of the travel fee is split into two installments to assist team members in their personal budgeting. Actual cost of team travel is not reflected in this fee structure as most travel occurs during fall semester. | Travel Fees Information All Travel Fees are non-refundable. Fees will not be pro-rated. Players accept team invitations understanding it is the coaching staff's prerogative to determine playing time for each individual player. Travel fees are for the regular season only and do not cover post-season play. Travel Fees help cover both air and ground transportation to all away games, as well as covering the cost of lodging for all away trips. Please be aware that the travel fee provides only partial coverage of actual costs for team travel. Team fundraising is necessary to cover these and other team costs. |
| Equipment Program Information The FGCU Hockey Team prides itself with its appearance both on and off the ice. All Players all required to adhere to the team's dress code and must purchase equipment issued by the FGCU Hockey Team. The equipment fee is applicable to all new incoming players. All equipment purchased from the FGCU Hockey Team becomes the property of the player to use during their life with the team. Equipment Program Includes: Practice Jersey & Socks, Custom RYR Hockey Pants, Bauer 4000 Helmet with cage, Sherwood HG 9950 Pro Gloves, Custom Equipment Bags, Stormtech Track Suits FGCU Hockey is proud to offer over $1000.00 worth of retail equipment to our players at a fraction of the cost. |
