Elizabeth Aubuchon, originally from Royal Oak, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit, moved to Florida when she was eight years old. Although Aubchon left the cold Northern weather behind in her hometown, she certainly has not abandoned her passion for the sport hockey. As a die-hard Detroit Red Wings fan, she quickly found a way to get involved with the FGCU Hockey program. Elizabeth became involved with the team in November 2003, after being introduced to the organization by her friend and fellow volunteer, Kate Wyatt. Elizabeth came to watch one game and has been hooked ever since. Elizabeth is involved in a variety of different jobs with the hockey team including assisting with on-campus promotions, working the gate on gamedays by monitoring traffic and ticket sales, supervisiong the penalty box area during games, and also assisting with scorekeeping during home games. Aubuchon contributions have certainly not gone unnoticed and she has successfully become an integral part of the volunteer team.
Jason Balchun is currently a senior at FGCU majoring in Business Management with a minor in Marketing. He has always had a passion for hockey and enjoys helping out at each and every game. Blachun has been with the team since 2006 and usually helps out in the penalty box during games and assists with intermission activities. Balchun was also a dedicated volunteer during the 2008 ACHA Division 2 National Championship Tournament hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University. Jason is looking forward to another season with the FGCU Hockey program and has quickly become a recognizable face around the rink, but most importantly a loyal Eagles hockey fan.
Marco has moved to the sunshine state to continue his education.  With a BBA in general management already under his belt from Brock University, Marco is now gaining his Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and when he heard that FGCU had a hockey team, he immediately signed up his name to help out wherever he could.  With his home in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, Marco lives and breathes hockey.  Fast paced skating, precision passing, hard hitting, and rocket targeted shots make it so exciting to watch and be apart of.  Qualifying and hosting nationals last year was an incredible experience and here's to another terrific season for both the D2 and D3 teams!!
Jenna is a senior at FGCU studying elementary education. She hopes to teach second grade come 2009. She was born and raised in New Jersey, and still has no idea where she will live after graduation. She is engaged to Jonathan Theer, and they live in North Naples. She loves hockey, but football will always be her favorite sport. She helps out the FGCU Hockey Team by videotaping the games, and occasionally doing the penalty box.
Laura Fritts is a senior at FGCU and is going to receive her degree in Accounting.  She has always enjoyed helping out the hockey team with whatever they needed (not to mention she like watching them play).  She has been a volunteer for 2 years now and will continue to do so until her time with FGCU is up.
Hi my name is Steven Sachs, I am from Tampa, FL.  My major is Business Management with a sports concentration. I have been a FGCU Hockey Volunteer for the past two years, my job includes working the penalty box and time clock, also help out in the shirt toss.  I have lived in Florida for most of my life and have played hockey since I was seven, including High school as well.  I am also an intern for the Florida Everblades where I hand out promotion and ask for volunteers to participate in our intermission. So that is some of the things I do.

Originally from Pompano Beach, Florida, Victoria Vitale a Communications Major, is going into her third season with the FGCU hockey program. She became interested in hockey as a kid, growing up at the ice arena and watching her brother play. Accustomed to 5am practices and the rules of the game, she played ice hockey for one season, but decided to be a fan rather than a player.  In addition to managing her high school's hockey team, she was also a part of the TV production program and made highlight videos for the games that were shown locally, and on the School Board of Broward County TV station.  She is looking forward to another great season with the FGCU hockey team.
Matt Young is another of the staff's Florida natives.  He was born at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers and has lived in Cape Coral all of his life. Matt has been with the team since his freshman year, so the 2006-2007 season will be his third year. While with the team, Matt has helped with the very important duties with the penalty box, score-keeping, time-keeping and the various on-ice activities that are scheduled for each game.  He was one of the first volunteers to be trained on the score- and time-keeping jobs and cheerfully freezes in the box week after week.  Matt successfully graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University at the end of the Fall 2008 semester earning a degree in Business Management with a concentration in Sports Management. Matt currently works with a local banner and printing company in the Fort Myers area and has decided to remained involved with the FGCU Hockey program despite graduating from the university. Simply put, you will not find a more dedicated volunteer and friend to the program.

Cindy has been an avid ice hockey fan for many years. As a fanatic fan of the Philadelphia Flyers, Cindy attended National Hockey League games religiously in her home state. After meeting Richard Snizek, Cindy pursued her love of the game by watching her future husband play for his college team. Cindy was first introduced to the FGCU Hockey program by her daughter Ashley Snizek, also a team volunteer, and has been intimately involved since 2004. She brings unique skills to her volunteer position with the FGCU Hockey program, including experience in developing and writing professional pieces for a variety of publications; and working with educators and students through a Pew Grant with the purpose of improving language and writing skills. Snizek is directly responsible for reviewing and approving all areas of print publications that relate to the FGCU Hockey program. Cindy anticipates a great year, and hopes to reflect the professional attitude of the team and its members in every written piece published.
